Our Story

Pastor Corey and his wife Olivia, after spending five years in China studying Mandarin and working for a campus organization, returned to the US in 2005 and moved to Orlando, FL. While Corey studied to receive his Masters of Divinity, they began to look into different church planting opportunities in Asia and the US. After considering possibilities in other multi-cultural cities like San Diego and Atlanta, they felt God was calling them to move to the Triangle area to plant a new church that would proclaim Christ, build community and engage culture.

After arriving in August of 2008, Corey began to assess which Triangle community would be the right location for this kind of church plant. After a few months of prayer and analysis, the Morrisville/North Cary area stood apart as the clear choice because of its ethnic diversity and rapid growth. Corey began casting vision for a church that would proclaim the Gospel of Jesus in word and deed to the diverse people of the Morrisville community. Soon this new church was named Trinity Park Church to reflect its call to serve the people of the Triangle Park area.

On September 12th, 2010 we officially launched morning worship at Morrisville Elementary School! After beginning with 16 families, we now have around 250 people who would call Trinity Park their church home. Of the growth we’ve experienced, the vast majority of new members are either transplants, new believers or believers who have been out of the church for a long time.

We currently have over 25 distinct cultures represented within our church including: Japanese, First and Second Generation Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese Chinese, Thai, Australian, Indian, Iranian, German, Moldovan, Ukrainian, British, French Canadian, Canadian, Italian, Cuban, Haitian, Mexican, African American and Caucasian American. Trinity Park also has a uniquely high percentage of people who have served as missionaries both overseas and in the U.S. This is the kind of growth we’ve prayed we’d see happening from the beginning.

Even though our story is written here in the past tense, in reality it’s still being written. Come join us for worship one Sunday morning at Davis Drive Middle or visit one of our community groups or Bible studies!
