Creation, Fall, Redemption, Restoration- Part 1- Richard Sugg
his is the first of 4 posts in a series by Richard Sugg of material that we cover in our new members class.
What’s your story?
If I asked you that, you might tell me where you grew up, where you went to school, where you work, or how you met your spouse. Your story has a timeline, actors, and scenes. There would be moments of tension and (hopefully!) resolution. That’s how stories work.
God has given us a story in the Bible. His story has a single plot (and a few subplots), many actors, one hero, and a few villains, all spread across a long timeline and many scenes. Rather than 66 books in the Bible, it would be better if we thought of them as the 66 chapters of the Bible.
The basic scenes in the Bible can be divided into Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Restoration. God created all things good, but we sinned and messed everything up. God then provides redemption for us through the hero Jesus and restores our place with him.
Over the next four weeks, we’ll look at each one in turn.
